Seasons Greetings


We at Cuddle Soft Quilt Kits have gathered some of our favorite Christmas and Wintertime Goodies to share with you and your family. Check back frequently as we will be adding more fun things every week. We hope you enjoy a fun and safe Holiday Season.


Little Bacon Smokies

1 pkg little smokies sausages
1 pkg bacon
brown sugar

 
Cut bacon in half and wrap each piece of uncooked bacon around each sausage. Secure with toothpick and place on a cookie sheet. Sprinkle with brown sugar. Bake for about 1 hour at 375.

** This fabulous appetizer will impress everyone at your party, and is fabulous for New Years, Christmas Eve, and SuperBowl Parties!

Yummy Apple Dip

 
1 block of cream cheese
1/4 c sugar
1/4 c brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1 Skore or Heath bar, crushed.


 
Mix the cream cheese, vanilla and sugars, refrigerate. Add the toffee pieces right before serving with sliced apples. Super Yummy!

** This is delicious! Fabulous for parties or after school snacks.

Quick Cinnamon Rolls
-Pat
3 1/2 cups hot water
1 cup oil
3/4 cup sugar
6 Tbl quick rise yeast

Mix above ingredients together and then let stand for 15 minutes.

Add:

 
3 eggs, beaten
1 tsp salt
10 1/2 cups flour

Knead dough until soft. Let rise for 15 minutes and then roll out in batches into a rectangle, about 1/2 – 3/4” thick. Brush melted butter over the dough and sprinkle generously with a cinnamon sugar mixture. (if desired you can add some crushed walnuts.) Roll lengthwise jelly roll style, and cut 1” pieces. You can let them rise for another 10 minutes before cooking.
Bake at 425 for 10 minutes.

 
Frosting:

1/2 cup butter
2 tsp vanilla
1/4 cup milk
pinch of salt
3 cups powdered sugar

Beat until creamy. Frost rolls when mostly cool.

Hot Chocolate in a Bag

 
2 pounds Nestle's Quik or equivalent
11 ounces Coffeemate or equivalent
1/2  package powdered sugar
1 (eight-quart) box of powdered milk

 
Mix up your own batch of homemade hot chocolate mix. Put a 1 cup (or more) of mix in a zip-close sandwich bag with some mini-marshmallows on top.

Zip close.

Put in a home-made cloth Christmas gift bag and tie with a cute bow. . Include instructions: Mix all ingredients together. Put 1/3 cup of mix into cup and add boiling or very hot water. Stir and enjoy
