We're Thankful for our new Boutique!!

It’s the thankful season!

Today I am thankful for a warm home, plenty of food, a caring family and lots of warm cuddle blankets and fabric. I love fabric, maybe too much.

What is the difference between someone who loves fabric and a hoarder? Some of my children think I may be falling into the hording side of loving fabric. Just to prove a point, I googled hoarding and this is what I found.

"A hoarder is a person who accumulates things and hides them away for future use.

Compulsive hoarding is the excessive acquisition of possessions (and failure to use or discard them), even if the items are worthless, hazardous, or unsanitary."

Well, I’m guilty, the evidence is in, the proof in is in the cupboard, on the shelves and under the cutting table. Okay, and in the boxes and totes in the garage.  But I have such great intentions…….right? I do want to make it clear however, that the fabrics I hoard are not worthless, hazardous or unsanitary. They are awesome, soft, cuddly and sooo beautiful!

It is clear that I need to make some changes, and do some cleaning, so I decided that now is the time. My kids agreed to help me, (possible intervention) and we are making up quilts as fast as we can and I am offering them for sale in my Christmas Boutique.

Because I have saved fabric from quilts I have made for quilt market and for my family and my favorites from the web store, some of the quilts I have made are one or two of a kind, and they are so wonderful. I just wish you could stand in my family room and hug these quilts.

I am adding more every few days, so keep an eye out for that perfect gift for someone on your list.  Of course don’t forget that I am also adding new kits to the store as well, just know that if you run out of time or know someone who loves these quilts but doesn’t want to make it, we have you covered.  It's all in our new Christmas Boutique.    Make sure you check it out!

The weather outside is so chilly.  Actually in Idaho it’s downright cold. (-14 with the wind chill) There is nothing better than a nice soft cuddle scarf to keep you warm. Be sure to check out the new fabrics and textures in both styles of scarves. And yes, we will offer them finished for that really quick and easy gift.

My tip for today: Make someone grateful; make them a warm cuddle quilt (or scarf)!
