What makes beautiful crisp fall days fabulous? A Cuddle Quilt to cuddle in!

Time…….Oh where have you gone.

Today as I took the dog out for our morning walk there was a definite feel of fall in the air. Well actually, it was only 40° so it was really a feel of fall. In Idaho, in the fall you need the heater in the morning, the air conditioner in the afternoon and then the heater again after dark.  I love that crisp clean air, but oh that summer went way to fast.

The good news is that it is much more fun to sew when it isn’t so nice outside. And I have some great ideas for your next quilt.  I really like appliqué. I have a couple of fun things that I think you may like. 

Every little boy loves wheels. My grandson Levi has shared his favorite quilt with us this month, just long enough for a few photos, but he didn’t want to let go of it for long.  

This great little “Digger” Quilt is available as an appliqué quilt at 45” square, but we added the extra center panel and a bigger border for the “big boys”.  It finishes at 45” x 60”.  Of course there is a free quilt pattern in the kit. If you are looking for a quick and easy quilt I have the last bloom of summer: The Izzy Blossom Strip Quilt. This 60” x 72” row by row is quick, easy and makes everybody happy.  It is based on our basic spray and fuse technique but has wider strips.  I think you will enjoy making it.
